Itinerary

07:00 – Pick-up at your hotel

Our driver-guide meets you directly at your hotel reception. The departure time varies by region: Sousse, Hammamet or Tunis.

10:30 – Arrival at the port of Ghar El Melh

You discover this small, authentic fishing port at the entrance to the Bizerte lagoon. During a short break (coffee, toilets), your guide prepares the boarding. The sight of the colourful boats and the gulls already puts you in the sea-air mood.

10:45 – Boarding and boat crossing

You board a local boat. The crossing takes about 20 minutes. You skirt wild coves, catch sight of fishermen at work, and the blue of the sea grows clearer as you approach the peninsula.

09:30 – Arrival at Coucou Beach & settling in

You set foot on a white-sand beach worthy of a postcard. Our team welcomes you and shows you to your place for the day: shaded cabins on the sand, classic straw huts at the water's edge, or VIP huts with a panoramic view. Hammocks, sun loungers, a volleyball court, showers and changing rooms are freely available all day.

11:00 to 13:00 – Free time: swimming, relaxing & photographs

You have more than two hours to enjoy the site. The water is turquoise, warm and shallow — perfect for swimming or simply floating. You can order cold drinks, a shisha, or seafood at extra cost (grilled prawns, sautéed cuttlefish, seafood ojja). It is also the ideal moment for photographs: careful decoration, bright colours, and swings and hammocks made for the camera.

13:00 – A full lunch, feet in the water

This is one of the high points of the day. The meal opens with a trio of traditional salads: mechouia grilled over a wood fire, green salad with fresh cheese, and a cold salad. Then the main course: sea bream grilled over a wood fire, smoky and crisp outside, tender within. A portion of pasta or rice is served alongside. Each guest receives a grilled prawn to taste. Dessert is fresh seasonal fruit and a glass of green tea with mint. A meat alternative (escalope) is available on request.

14:30 to 16:00 – A restful afternoon

After that generous lunch, everyone returns to their own corner. Some go back into the water, others doze in the hammocks. The mood stays relaxed, sometimes lifted by live music or beach games (volleyball, frisbee, board games) depending on numbers and the day's programme. Hot showers are available before departure.

16:00 – Last boat & return to Ghar El Melh

The boat is waiting for the journey back. Boarding is generally around 16:00–16:30 for the return.

17:30 to 19:30 – Transfer back to your hotel
